(Revision) Task force Cleans Up Harlem River Park

Harlem River Park stretches from 125th to 145th Streets along the East River. It was constructed so residents had a place to run, bike and enjoy the waterfront. But recently the park has been plagued by gang activity and prostitution, which is keeping the public away.

The Harlem River Park Task Force is comprised of residents and local organizations working together with elected officials to clean up the waterfront.

On March 30, Harlem River Park Task Force members Richard Toussaint and Jean Davis joined police and local officials to discuss problem areas in the park and to plan upcoming projects for the park to connect with the beltway around Manhattan.
