Touristism

Spring is here, and that means tourists are here too. For locals, that means crowded sidewalks full of upward looking out-of-towners, long lines at subway stations as people try to figure out how to use a Metro Card, and of course, fanny packs and tall socks. Sound like a nightmare? For one group of locals, it’s a chance to get out there and out-tourist the tourists by being as obnoxious as possible.
Every spring, this groups of mostly Manhattan professionals takes to the streets in touristy clothes and visits all the destinations tourists frequent – being as dimwitted as possible. Why? Because it’s a lot of fun.
