The Best Schools for Black Students

In New York City, only about 6 of 10 students graduate from high school in four years. When it comes to African-American students, that number drops to 5 of 10. There are some high schools that are beating the odds by a long shot, especially among their African-American students.

This multiple-bar graph shows the six high schools with the highest four-year graduation rates for African-American students in the class of 2009, the latest data available from the Department of Education.
