I’ve made some update to my website here.
After trying out the Canvas 3.2.4 from WooTheme for a while, I’ve decided to switch to Widescreen theme by Graph Paper Press, which gives me more options with pictures and a very crisp, nice layout.
In the home page, I used five photos as the default slide. The menu includes five categories:
+ About: a brief bio about myself with linked to my Linkedin profile
+ Resume: my CV
+ Articles: some of the articles I’ve written here in NYC and for my daily paper back in Vietnam.
+ Multimedia: some of my multimedia works
+ Video
I’m still thinking about adding “Photos” category into the menu. The challenge is how to set the slide in a user-friendly layout rather than using all pics by Soundslide.
Regarding Plug-ins, I’ve activated:
+ Akismet: filter spams
+ WordPress.com stats: Tracks views, post/page views, referrers, and clicks.
+ Embedly: extend WP’s Embeds
+ flickrRSS: integrate the photos from a flickr rss feed
+ Soundcloud shortcode.
For the Widgets, I’ve just added Tag Cloud and Recent Post to my Footers.
